Hello everyone!
I’ve decided to launch a podcast. I’m not 100% sure of what I’m going to do with it, but to begin I’ll be uploading podcasts and videocasts of some of my stories. I’m considering interviewing other children and YA authors, and using it to not only share stories but to talk out the process of being a new amateur author trying to put one word in front of the other.
I’ve produced podcast for brands as part of my day job but right now I’m workig on figuring out the right platform for the Beastly Podcast that’s the easiest to use, has the best reach, and is the most affordable (giving away your stories doesn’t leave much budget for this kind of stuff!). I’ve already uploaded the first podcast episode, a reading of Hen Hair Finds a Squirrel. For stories I’m using a text-to-speech AI because no kid wants to hear my voice (ask my children) and (as previously mentioned), giving away stories doesn’t provide much of a budget for hiring voice talent! I may read as I get more comfortable with the podcast, and hit the end of the road with the capabilities of AI.
